Foncha Street FC Bamenda has defeated Gazelle FA Garoua by 4-1 in match day 13 of the Cameroon elite two championship.

The match which took place at the Bamenda university field on June 21, 2022 was a ground record, as the Bamenda club has never scored more than three goals in a single match since they were promoted into the elite two championship in 2019.

Two goals from Ibrahim Nsoyuri put Foncha Street ahead during the first segment .

During the second half, Ibrahim Nsoyuri was brought down in the box of Gazelle FA, which landed the Bamenda boys a penalty that was quickly taken by Cheson Loibinho, pushing the scores to three nil.

Just few minutes later, Ibrahim Nsoyuri landed another one to end his day with hat trick, but the boys from Garoua fought back to equalize one and the day ended 4-1 in favor of Foncha Street FC

Gazelle's hope of reaching the elite one this year is however still unclear, as they came to Bamenda with the hope of winning to occupy the first position in pole A which is currently in the hands of Lausanne SA with 26 points and Gazelle follows with 24

Gazelle's hope of reaching elite one next season is however not completely damaged, as they have high chances to stand for playoff.

Foncha Street FC has now recorded three consecutive victories in their last games. Tuesday's victory pushed them to 14 points in pole A

The Bamenda club which started the season in a limping way is now impressing her supporters as they are free from relegation. They have two more games to end the season.
