Frankfurt Wins First Europa League In Forty Two Years

Eintracht Frankfurt are winners of the 2022 European league, after they narrowly defeated Rangers in a post match penalty shout-out on Wednesday night in Seville.

The German team who is currently on just 42 points and the eleven position in Bundesliga were abled to cancel Ranger's fifty years hope of lifting the trophy after a 1-1 draw on stoppage time.

The first half ended goalless on both sides, but Aribo put Rangers ahead with a spectacular goal at the 56th minute before Borré equalized at the 68th minutes.

Frankfurt's goalkeeper, Trapp was lauded for his outstanding performance and for saving Ramsey's penalty, which eventually paved their defeat.

The match ended up in penalty shout-out, with Frankfurt winning 5-4

Both Rangers and Eintracht had the chance of creating history after making dream runs to the final. Rangers aimed to win their first European trophy in 50 years, but their hopes were shattered in the last minutes.

Eintracht Frankfurt may have finished in the bottom half of the Bundesliga table this season but they too have punched above their weight by knocking out Barcelona and West Ham to claim their first European trophy in 42 years.

Mount Cameroon Race: Lady Dies From Explosion Wounds

At least one victim of the Buea explosions, which occurred during the 2023 edition of the Mount Cameroon race of hope is dead. Family sources in Buea have confirmed that Linda Nji died at the Buea regional hospital early Tuesday February 28, 2023. The victim was injured together with her three children in one amongst the three explosions that occurred few minutes into the race on Saturday. "They stood outside watching the race at Bunduma where an explosive went off and injured all of them," a source said. They were later on rushed to the Buea regional hospital, where they have been receiving treatment until Tuesday morning at about 4am when the later died. Report say she died in the presence of her husband and her remains were conveyed to the hospital mortuary, pending burial.
