CASJ Condemns Attack On Journalist By Police In Buea

The Cameroon Association of Sports Journalists, CASJ have condemned the violence perpetrated on one of its member by a police officer in Buea, South West region. According to a press release signed by the football association president, Bertille Missi Bikoun, dated 18 May 2022, one of its member, Eyong Bisong Macdela was reportedly beaten and dragged on the ground by a police officer on May 18 at the Buea Molyko Omnisport stadium. It further adds that the said journalist who has been reporting sports activities in the country for over three years was at the field to cover the MTN elite one game between Bamboutos and New Stars. Though circumstances leading to the act is not unveiled, CASJ has condemned the act and called on the Cameroon sports authority to call the perpetrator to order. Frankfurt Wins First Europa League In Forty Two Years

By Mboh Promise Eintracht Frankfurt are winners of the 2022 European league, after they narrowly defeated Rangers in a post match penalty shout-out on Wednesday night in Seville. The German team who is currently on just 42 points and the eleven position in Bundesliga were abled to cancel Ranger's fifty years hope of lifting the trophy after a 1-1 draw on stoppage time. Five UBa Students To Represent North West At CAYS In Yaounde

Some students of the University of Bamenda have received cheques as prizes for participating in the 2sd edition of "3 minutes to convince CAYS" This was the outcome of a one day workshop recently held at the Bamenda university campus, organized by the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists, CAYS aimed at enhancing science communication amongst staff and students. The five students currently enroll into Masters and PhD programs will represent the region during the up coming National edition of Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists, CAYS to be held in Yaounde on May 27, 2022. The talented fast rising Afro artist used her charming voice and crafted beautiful and meaningful songs to the journalists who convened to celebrate and enjoy their works.
