FECAFOOT Election: Only Four Options Left For Eto'o

At least six delegates from different regions have come to a compromise of pushing incumbent Seidou Mbombo Njoya as FECAFOOT president again.

The delegates confirmed this on Sunday December 5, Just few days to the election of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT president.

The delegates from Far North, North, North West,  West, Centre and Adamawa regions have put pen on paper to confirm their interest in Mbombo Njoya.

According to the delegates, they believe in the works of the old hands of Seidou Mbombo Njoya.

With the six delegates already backing incumbent Seidou Mbombo Njoya, Samuel Eto'o is left just with four regions, South, South West, East and Littoral.

If it happens that way, then football legend, Samuel Eto'o is working on an impossible mission.

But Samuel Eto'o, the people's choice?

From the look of things, social media campaigns and comments, Samuel Eto'o is who the majority desires at FECAFOOT presidency.

Samuel Eto'o is young and got lots of experience as an international footballer before his resignation and later show of interest to lead football activities in Cameroon.

Just after submitting his candidacy for FECAFOOT's top job, Eto'o pulled a large crowd in Douala who showed their desire for him.

Also in the streets, posters bearing the image of Eto'o is seen on travel agencies and taxis.

Until December 11, Cameroonians and football lovers are still waiting to see if Samuel Eto'o will be the one to resolve the long unforgettable FECAFOOT saga or Seidou Mbombo Njoya will continue in the same pot soup.

Mount Cameroon Race: Lady Dies From Explosion Wounds

At least one victim of the Buea explosions, which occurred during the 2023 edition of the Mount Cameroon race of hope is dead. Family sources in Buea have confirmed that Linda Nji died at the Buea regional hospital early Tuesday February 28, 2023. The victim was injured together with her three children in one amongst the three explosions that occurred few minutes into the race on Saturday. "They stood outside watching the race at Bunduma where an explosive went off and injured all of them," a source said. They were later on rushed to the Buea regional hospital, where they have been receiving treatment until Tuesday morning at about 4am when the later died. Report say she died in the presence of her husband and her remains were conveyed to the hospital mortuary, pending burial.
